Põhjustatud geenide muutustest, mis kontrollivad närvirakkude liikumist arenevas ajus paigale. See aruanne hõlmab DCX-i X-kromosoomil ja APC2-d (retsessiivne).
Tunnused ja sümptomid
Arengu viivitus ja intellektipuue, sageli rasked, koos krampidega, mida võib olla raske kontrollida. Tavalised on madal lihastoonus, hilisem jäikus ja toitmisraskused. DCX-i muutusega naistel esineb sageli kergem vorm, mida nimetatakse subkortikaalseks lintheterotoopiaks, koos krampide ja erineva õpiraskusega.
Mida diagnoos muudab
Ravi keskendub krampide kontrollile, toitumisele, füsioteraapiale ja arengutoetusele. Geneetiline nõustamine sõltub geenist: dominantsed muutused tekivad sageli de novo, DCX-i võib pärida kandjast emalt ning retsessiivseid vorme edastavad kaks kandjavanemat.
