Kornea Distrofisi
Kornenin bir veya daha fazla tabakasını etkileyen kalıtsal hastalıklar grubudur; Fuchs endotelyal distrofisi (çoğunlukla TCF4 tekrar genişlemesiyle ilişkili), TGFBI ile ilişkili granüler ve latis distrofileri ve SLC4A11, COL8A2, ZEB1 ve CHST6 gibi genlerden kaynaklanan daha nadir türleri içerir.
Bir tanının neyi değiştirdiği
TGFBI varyantı taşıyan kişilerin genellikle lazerle refraktif cerrahi (LASIK veya PRK) uygulatmamaları önerilir, çünkü bu işlem birikintileri kötüleştirebilir; ileri evrede kornea nakli görmeyi geri kazandırabilir.
