Autossómica recessiva
Doença renal de hereditariedade recessiva, causada por variantes no NPHP1 e noutros genes dos cílios, em que a cicatrização tubulointersticial progressiva conduz a insuficiência renal, tipicamente nas primeiras três décadas de vida.
O que muda com um diagnóstico
Conhecer a condição permite a monitorização regular da função renal, o planeamento atempado de diálise ou transplante e a pesquisa de portadores entre os familiares.
