Autosomalne dominujące
MODY (cukrzyca typu MODY, Maturity-Onset Diabetes of the Young) to rzadka, rodzinna postać cukrzycy, niejednorodna pod względem klinicznym i genetycznym, charakteryzująca się wczesnym początkiem choroby (zwykle w wieku 10–45 lat), zachowaną endogenną produkcją insuliny, brakiem autoimmunizacji komórek beta trzustki, brakiem otyłości i insulinooporności oraz – w niektórych podtypach – objawami pozatrzustkowymi.
Co zmienia diagnoza
GCK-MODY: leczenie nie jest potrzebne; HNF1A/HNF4A-MODY: sulfonylomoczniki w małej dawce; HNF1B-MODY: insulina oraz monitorowanie czynności nerek; wielogenowa cukrzyca typu 2: modyfikacja stylu życia, metformina, agoniści receptora GLP-1, inhibitory SGLT2, dobierane do profilu chorób towarzyszących
