Stroke Polygenic Risk Score
A stroke happens when blood supply to part of the brain is cut off or a vessel bleeds. Blood pressure, smoking and activity matter most, and genetics adds to them.
A risk score adds up many common variants, each with a small effect, into an estimate of genetic predisposition. It is not a diagnosis.
