Trait
Myelopathy
Myelopathy is an descriptive term, referring to pathology leading to a neurologic deficit related to the spinal cord. The clinical diagnosis of myelopathy requires a detailed history and physical examination to define the clinical syndrome. Neuroimaging is indicated in most instances of new-onset myelopathy. It is indicated also when the worsening of a myelopathy is unexplained.

Changes in these genes cause rare conditions in which Myelopathy is seen. Most people with this trait have none of those conditions, and a gene on this list says nothing about anyone's own genome.
| Gene | How often it is seen | Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| NAXENAD(P)HX epimerase | Always | In 2 conditions |
| ABCD1ATP binding cassette subfamily D member 1 | Very often (80–99%) | In 1 condition |
| DKK1dickkopf Wnt signaling pathway inhibitor 1 | Often (30–79%) | In 1 condition |
| NF2NF2, moesin-ezrin-radixin like (MERLIN) tumor suppressor | Often (30–79%) | In 1 condition |
| BTDbiotinidase | Sometimes (5–29%) | In 1 condition |
| RASA1RAS p21 protein activator 1 | Sometimes (5–29%) | In 1 condition |
| CYP27A1cytochrome P450 family 27 subfamily A member 1 | Rarely (1–4%) | In 1 condition |
| GNPTABN-acetylglucosamine-1-phosphate transferase subunits alpha and beta | Not recorded | In 1 condition |
How often is among people with one of the gene's conditions, the most often across them, as the Human Phenotype Ontology records it. These pages describe traits and the research behind them; they are not a diagnosis, and a doctor or genetic counsellor is the person to ask about symptoms.
