Glioma Polygenic Risk Score
Glioma is a tumour that starts in the glial cells of the brain or spinal cord. Earlier radiotherapy to the brain can cause a secondary glioma, and rare inherited syndromes such as Li-Fraumeni also raise risk.
A risk score adds up many common variants, each with a small effect, into an estimate of genetic predisposition. It is not a diagnosis.

Limitations
- The score does not capture rare inherited syndromes such as Li-Fraumeni, which are linked to high-grade glioma, or past radiotherapy.
