Trait
Abnormal prosody
Prosody refers to the patterns of rhythm, stress, and intonation in spoken language. Abnormal prosody refers to abnormalities in the patterns of rhythm, stress, or intonation of speech or vocalization that can be heard by the observer. In general, this refers to overt and clear deviations in patterns from culturally accepted norms but many also include differences noted in comparison to the usual patterns of the individual (a quiet person suddenly becomes loud or vice versa).

Changes in these genes cause rare conditions in which Abnormal prosody is seen. Most people with this trait have none of those conditions, and a gene on this list says nothing about anyone's own genome.

How often is among people with one of the gene's conditions, the most often across them, as the Human Phenotype Ontology records it. These pages describe traits and the research behind them; they are not a diagnosis, and a doctor or genetic counsellor is the person to ask about symptoms.
