Dante Labs vs Nebula Genomics
Dante Labs vs Nebula Genomics: the same genome, a different idea of what the reports are for.
Nebula Genomics now sells its whole genome tests as DNA Complete, at 1X, 30X or 100X, with health, wellness and ancestry reports. Dante sequences at 30X and includes 810+ physician-ready reports with Premium. Here is how they compare, with sources.
Where the difference lies
Two ideas of what a genome report is for.
DNA Complete · Whole genome, 1X to 100X
A broad catalogue of health, wellness and ancestry reports
Reports across heart health, brain health, longevity, traits and ancestry, with more added each month through a yearly membership. Its site does not name a clinical standard the reports follow.
Dante Labs · Whole genome, 30X
Reports written to be taken to your doctor
810+ physician-ready reports with Premium, classified against ACMG guidelines and read from your whole genome, then updated as the science advances without a new sample.
Both read your whole genome.
The difference is who the reports are written for.

Coverage and the lab
How deep each test reads, and where.
DNA Complete sells three depths. Its Pro test reads each position of your genome about 30 times on average, like Dante's. Its Elite test reads about 100 times. Its Essential test is 1X: each position is read about once on average, so most variants are estimated rather than read with confidence.
DNA Complete describes its laboratory as a certified, state-of-the-art whole genome sequencing lab in the US, without naming the lab or its accreditation. Dante's samples are processed in CLIA-certified, CAP-accredited partner labs in the US and EU, with genomic processing under ISO 15189, the international standard written specifically for medical laboratories.
Reports
What the reports are for.
DNA Complete lists 175 to 350 or more reports depending on the tier, across heart health, brain health, longevity, mental health, traits and ancestry, with up to five new reports a month. Many describe tendencies and wellness, shown as percentiles.
Dante's Premium plan includes 810+ physician-ready reports covering hereditary risk, drug response and carrier status. Every report is classified against ACMG guidelines, the standard clinical geneticists use, so a doctor can work from it, and it is updated as new variant–disease links are published, without a new sample.
Choosing
When DNA Complete is the better fit.
DNA Complete offers a deeper 100X test and a lower-cost 1X entry point, and its files are ready to download. If you want a broad catalogue of wellness, trait and ancestry reports, or an oral microbiome test alongside your genome, it is a reasonable choice.
If you want results a doctor can work from, sequenced in a named, accredited clinical laboratory and kept up to date, that is what Dante is built for.
Questions
Dante Labs vs Nebula Genomics: common questions
Yes. Nebula Genomics sells its whole genome tests as DNA Complete, on both nebula.org and dnacomplete.com.
Its Pro test sequences at 30X and its Elite test at 100X. Its Essential test is 1X, which reads each position about once on average, so most variants are estimated rather than read with confidence. Dante sequences every genome at 30X.
DNA Complete makes CRAM and VCF files available to download. Dante gives you your full FASTQ, BAM and VCF files, always free to download.
DNA Complete does not state a timeline, and its refund policy says processing and report timelines are estimates, not guaranteed. Dante's whole genome results typically arrive 6–8 weeks after the lab receives the sample, with email updates at each step.
You control your data: download, delete or anonymise it at any time. Dante does not sell personal or genomic data, and nothing is shared without your explicit consent. Data handling follows GDPR and HIPAA.
