Valuable Genomes: Taxonomy and Archetypes of Business Models in Direct-to-Consumer Genetic Testing
The study set out to systematically map business models in the direct-to-consumer genetic testing market. Drawing on a database of 277 services, it developed a 15-dimension taxonomy and identified six dominant business model archetypes.

Dante Labs’ involvement
This paper discusses Dante Labs as an example of a direct-to-consumer genetic testing service, rather than describing any contribution by Dante Labs to the research. Within the 'comprehensive tests and low data processing' archetype, the paper describes Dante Labs as offering a worldwide whole genome sequencing home collection kit via its website, with a basic health analysis and web access to the consumer's entire sequenced genome, and includes a screenshot of the Dante Labs website from October 2019 (Figure 4).
