The Alkaline Phosphatase report is a genetic test used to identify mutations in the ALPL gene, which is involved in bone mineralization and metabolism. Mutations in this gene can lead to hypophosphatasia, a rare genetic disorder characterized by defective bone and teeth mineralization. The report tests for genetic variants that are known to affect these processes.
